So he's freaked out and trying to live with it and he can't, so he decides to have the same procedure. Most of the movie takes place in his brain as she's being erased, and you see their whole relationship, moment-by-moment, backwards from this sort of bad end to the better beginning. Halfway through, as the memories start getting better, he decides he doesn't want the procedure." Michel Gondry (Human Nature) directs. Focus Features will be distributing the film. Film-Production is already underway, principal photography began January 8, 2003. The movie will be filmed in New York City, Yonker NY, and will be filming on location in Bayonne, NJ in March.
Offical cast addictions Kate Winslet has been offically cast in the main female leading role opposite Jim Carrey playing his love interest Clementine Kruczynski. Kristen Dunst will also appear in the film as an office receptionist who gets caught up with the complications of the memory elimination process. Mark Ruffalo plays a lab technician who is involved in the memory-erasing procedure. Tom Wilkinsonhas has just joined the cast as the married doctor who is supervising the procedure while having an affair with Dunst's character, and rounding out the cast is Elijah Wood who will be playing another lab technician also involved in the memory-erasing procedure. and is also in love Clementine.
